I don't like watching Allardyce's teams play football.

I pay a lot of money to watch my team play his football.

If we won the league it might just about be worth the sacrifice.

It isn't worth the sacrifice.

I wouldn't say we are on a bad run. If you take a look at the whole of Allardyce's time in charge, I'd say this was pretty much average. Plenty of draws, some losses, made a game of things against good teams, lost to teams we shouldn't have.

What I would say is the start of the season was a very good run!

Will we reach 50 points ?

Re: 1 win in 11 games
To be fair ee have been grossly unlucky in a number of gsmes and could have had another 11 points from Manure (4), Spurs (4) and Chelsea (3) - all games we bossed. That said, dont kid yourself that the run in v lower trams will be easy - take Palace and Baggies for example.

The key thing is that we really kick on from this season with a couple of pacy midgielders and at least another proven forward as I think we can now write off Carroll sadly.

To be fair out of the remaining 10 games 7 are against bottom half of the table sides.

We should be aiming for a strong run in

When you look at our form it is very poor, saying we nearly beat spurs and man utd is just clutching at straws. We could have easily lost the HUll game, they battered us in the 1st half that day.

Imagine if we started the season like this.

Re: 1 win in 11 games
Lets face it, wonderful as a European campaign next season would have been, it would have completely fucked our league form.... if we can retain our new signings and keep Jenkinson and then add a few more this summer then we will be well placed to press on next season.

Basically, a top 10 finish this season with more improvement next season should see us able to challenge for a European place by the time we are in the OS.

I suspect we are exactly where the fat one wants us to be - and finish.

Better than last year but able to improve without him really having to get his arse in gear.

I'd go with "Slowly, slowly, catchee monkey", had the TV companies not given the monkey a fucking great big bag of amphetamines.

Yeah, we've had a bad run. On the bright side, we really should have beaten Spurs and Man Utd; plus we could have got a draw against Chelsea and I thought we played very well, especially in the second half. This shows how close we are to the top clubs''

What are you on, Tips? Take your head out of the sand. We are not close at all to the top sides at all, we are 10th, behind Swansea and Stoke! You sound like the fat cunt.

Still a fair way to go and we've had some tough games that could've gone either way

I prefer the 5 draws in 11 games scenario

Re: 1 win in 11 games
Although we are on a bad run, 1 win in 11 makes it sound worse than it is.

If you had told me we would be unbeaten against Man U (H), Southampton (A) and Spurs (A) I would of taken it.

It's the games against West Brom (H) in the league, Palace (H) and the games we didn't show up in (West Brom 4-0, Liverpool (A), Chelsea (A) that have made this run so bad.

The last 4 fixtures have basically ended our season.

A lot of people are saying how good of a season we are having. I disagree, we had a brilliant first half, but for a season to be good, having a great start and ending like this isn't the case.

We are in danger of finishing outside of the top 10 and have failed to reach the later stages of any of the cups = bad season, when you base on what we spent at the beginning of the season and who we brought in.

Re: 1 win in 11 games
August to September was supberb. Top 4 form, quite literally as we enterred Christmas in 4th.

August through to December:
31 points from 19 games1.6 points per game)

2015 has been a completely different story as we are in the same form as the likes of Burlney, Leicester, QPR and Villa. Had we not racked up those early season points we'd be in trouble.

January to March (up to and including Chelsea):
8 points in 9 games (0.7 points per game)

What we are lacking, is consistency and we have a habit of expecting to beat all clubs, outside of the top 6.
Personally, I'm confident (no idea why) that this can be straightened out and that we will go on a good run again.

Had forgotten we have Everton second to last.
Hopefully their form continues and we can tip them out.

So I believe that's a major indication of our collapse in form

We don't have adequate cover in many positions

LeroysBoots 3:18 Thu Mar 5
Re: 1 win in 11 games
It's a fact that our squad is fairly limited and needs major strengthening in the summer, we have one of the smallest squads in the league
